England's Young Lions qualified for this summer's UEFA Under-19 European Championship after beating Spain away on Tuesday but was using a Subbuteo table as a tactics board the reason behind their victory?
Aidy Boothroyd's Under 19 side reached July's finals in Germany with a 2-0 win courtesy of goals from Tottenham midfielder Josh Onomah and Newcastle forward Adam Armstrong.
After the win, Chelsea youngster Isaiah Brown tweeted an image of the team celebrating which could give a clue to the team's success.
The 19-year-old said: 'QUALIFIED FOR THE EUROSSSSSS! What a result' with the accompanying image featuring a Subbuteo table in the dressing room.
Boothroyd used the classic football game in order to explain his tactical plans to the players.
After beating Georgia and a draw with Greece in their first two Elite Round qualifiers, England had to beat hosts Spain to book their place at the Under-19 Euros.
